The XAS, which went on the market in 1965, was the first Michelinl tyre designed to travel at speeds of up to 210 km/h. Its outstanding performances made it a natural choice for sports driving and such events as the Formule France, track races, rallies, hill climbing, etc. The XAS equipped the “sports cars” of 1965/1975.
Created by Studio Graphique Michelin for an international advertising campaign, this resolutely Pop Art-inspired poster for the XAS takes its form from “Ben-Day”, a screen printing technique that produces color without gradation.
